The 2025 Nominating Committee of BEK Communications Cooperative met on Friday, February 28, 2025, to nominate members of the cooperative to run for the open Board of Director seats. BEK Communications Cooperative member-owners residing in Districts I, III, and IV will elect one director, each to a 3-year term.

There are two ways to become nominated for Director: 1- by the Nominating Committee, or 2 - by petition, as provided in the Cooperative’s bylaws (Article IV, Section 4). The bylaws are printed in the BEK/West River Missouri Slope Telephone Directory and are available on the BEK Communications Cooperative website.
On June 12, 2025, members of BEK Communications Cooperative will have the opportunity to vote for these candidates for the Board of Directors.

Meet the Candidates
Shane Morris, Regan (Incumbent)
District I – Driscoll, McKenzie, Moffit, Regan, Sterling, Wilton, Wing
Shane Morris has proudly served on the BEK Communications Cooperative Board for nearly 12 years. He enjoys tackling the challenges that come with ever-changing technology and values having a voice in the cooperative while working closely with members.
Shane grew up on his family’s farm in Regan, where his parents farmed and ranched. After graduating from Wilton, he earned a business degree from Minot State University. He spent six years in management before returning to the family farm, where he farmed and ranched for 22 seasons. Shane now works as an agriculture loan officer, helping others in the farming community.
He and his wife live on part of the family farm and have been married for nearly 40 years. They are proud parents of two daughters and enjoy spending time with their two grandchildren.
Holly Will, Hazelton (Incumbent)
District III – Braddock, Hazelton, Hague, Linton, Strasburg
Holly Will has served on the BEK Board of Directors for three years. Growing up, her parents were members of Dakota Central Cooperative. In 2009, she was excited to return to her cooperative roots when her family relocated to rural Hazelton. Holly is a proud member of BEK and values the organization's commitment to excellence and its strong focus on community.
Holly is a University of Mary graduate and has worked in the finance industry for more than 13 years. In addition to her professional pursuits, Holly and her husband, Jeremy, are proud fourth-generation ranchers. They have two daughters: Cassidy, who owns a successful marketing firm in Grand Forks, and Addison, a sophomore at HMB High School. Family is at the core of Holly's life, and she enjoys spending her free time with her loved ones, often traveling to explore new places and creating lasting memories.
With her blend of professional expertise, commitment to her family’s ranching heritage, and passion for both community and adventure, Holly brings a unique perspective to her role as a Board Director.
William (Bill) Becker, Wishek (Incumbent)
District IV – Lehr, Napoleon, Wishek, Zeeland
Bill Becker brings nearly 16 years of dedicated service to BEK Communications Cooperative. A lifelong member, Bill grew up on his family’s farm south of Napoleon, where he proudly made his living as a farmer and rancher. He values having a voice in the cooperative and enjoys serving the people he’s known his entire life.
Bill and his wife, Alicia, raised their five children on the family farm, and all continue to call rural North Dakota home—residing in Drake, Wishek, and Napoleon. The Beckers cherish time with their 17 grandchildren and enjoy family gatherings.
Bill has an appreciation for antique tractors, particularly Oliver tractors. He also enjoys fishing and spending time with his family.
