Call 811 Before You Break Ground

As warmer weather begins to move into North Dakota, property owners will begin work on Spring projects, like building fences, installing sprinkler systems, or planting trees.
If you plan on digging on your property, remember to call 811 before you dig!
There are many buried utilities, including BEK Fiber, buried underground. By calling, you can request that the location of utilities beneath your property are marked with paint or a colored flag so that you don’t unintentionally dig into one of the lines.
Hitting a buried line can cause serious injury or death. It also can disrupt utility services and cost money to repair, so before putting a shovel in the ground, call 811 or log onto the national website, call811.com.
