FRS Scholarship Program
Scholarship Opportunity
In 2024, FRS will award more than (20) $2,500 scholarships to first-year college or vocational school students. Each applicant is capped at receiving one scholarship. Should you be selected from our service area, FRS will fund $2,000 towards the scholarship; BEK Communications Cooperative will fund the remaining $500.
In addition to the FRS general scholarship through the NTCA, the FRS also offers additional named scholarship opportunities. (One application qualifies an applicant to all scholarships):
- Everett Kneece Scholarship – $7,000
- Herbert & Isabel Bitz Memorial Scholarship – $5,000
- JSI Scholarship – $5,000
- Sarah Tyree Good Neighbor Scholarship – $5,000
- Cronin Communications Scholarship – $2,500
- Diana Jo Dreyer Memorial Scholarship – $2,500
- Roger Cox Scholarship – $1,000
- TMS Scholarship – $1,500
Applicants must be graduating high school seniors, attending a 2-year or 4-year college or vocational school. Recipients’ parents or guardians must reside in the BEK Communications Cooperative service area and have a voice or broadband service account.
